heres a quote to help all you warriors who are trying to get smoking out of your life, once and for all.
to stay off cigarettes, some people look at smoking in an artificially negative light. they think of the worst condition smoking may or may not have really caused them. dont look at cigarettes this way. but on the same note, dont look at cigarettes in an artificially positive light either. dont think of smoking as being inhaling one or two delightful cigarettes a day just when you feel like it. you couldnt do that before, and you will never do it that way again. rather, look at smoking as it actually was. it was expensive, inconvenient, and socially unacceptable on a daily basis. it controlled you totally. it was costing you your health, and had the full potential of one day costing you your life. see cigarettes for what they were. if you remember your life as a smoker, it will be easy to NEVER TAKE ANOTHER PUFF!

Thu, December 9, 2004 - 2:38 PMWhen I wanted to stop, a co-working pointed me to the "Allan Carr's Easy Way to Quit Smoking" book. It was about $7 book from Barnes & Noble and it eplained everything just like JennJenn just said.
It was the BEST $7 I ever spent! I haven't smoked for 1 year (next weeK - 12/15 I think) all because of that book.

Thu, December 16, 2004 - 4:06 AMThanks. Yeah, I enjoy the clean smell a lot. I've been trying to get a few friends to quit, but they just make excuses, but I like ragging on them for stinking.

Re: inspiration
Tue, January 11, 2005 - 11:57 PMTry Barnes & Noble. They should have it.
search.barnesandnoble.com/books...ry.asp
New edition (Sept. 2004) so it's like $15... "Revised and Updated Edition" they say.
But still, IT'S WORTH IT.
I think the main thing that's keeping me from even having 1 single drag, is that fact that I would be a failure at quitting if I did take only 1 single itty bitty drag...
